Miraculous Roses Necklace
When Mary appeared to Juan Diego, she identified herself as the mother of all humanity and asked that a church be built in her honor on Tepeyac Hill in Mexico. Juan Diego knew he would need some sort of sign to show the bishop, so Mary gave him roses (in the middle of winter!) to present as a sign of her request. But miraculously, when Juan Diego went to give the roses to the bishop, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was imprinted on the tilma.
